It is always nice to see that some birds have actually managed to stay out of reach of our cat, Cinder. I love watching them come to the porch to eat. This coming spring, I am going to get more feeders for a larger variety of birds.
I was born in Texas, the 3rd of four children. My father was in the U.S. Army, my Mom took care of us and the home.
I lived in many States and in Germany (twice). I had a wonderful childhood with loving parents (who will celebrate 50 years of marriage next year).
In 1983, I graduated from Heidelberg American High School which is located in the beautiful city of Heidelberg, Germany.
In 1985, I moved to Virginia where I have resided since.
In 1990, I joined the local volunteer rescue squad, where I met and fell in love with Jim.
We finally married in 1997, bought a house in 2001, and had a daughter, Morgan in 2005.
I work for a private ambulance service as an EMT-I. I work 24 hour shifts and then I am off 48 hours.
I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom to Morgan. But, at least I am only away two days a week.
